PELC Awarded new Early Learning Centre in Stonebridge, Saskatoon

Preston Early Learning Centre has been awarded the Early Learning Centre that will operate in the new joint-use schools in Stonebridge, Chief Whitecap School and St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School.

Joint-use schools consist of a public and Catholic school located in the same building, with each school owned and operated by the respective school divisions. The joint-use schools are designed with the community in mind.

Lisa Leibel, Executive Director of Preston Early Learning Centre, said “I am excited that PELC has been chosen as the operator of the Early Learning Centre at Chief Whitecap School and St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School. PELC is excited to enhance our partnerships with the Public and Catholic School boards as well as Whitecap Dakota First Nation. This is an incredible opportunity to serve the children and families in the community of Stonebridge.”

The Stonebridge centre will have 90 spaces, ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. The two schools and the Early Learning Centre are scheduled to open the beginning of September, 2017.

Preston Early Learning Centre will start accepting registrations for the Early Learning Centre on April 1, 2017, online applications only (on the PELC website, www.prestonearlylearning.ca/admissions).
