The original Preston Early Learning Centre (formerly Preston Ave Daycare) was the first of five to open. Parents in the community needed childcare and so they bought the house on Preston Ave in 1980 which began a wonderful journey serving families in Saskatoon and surrounding areas for the last 37 years. The house has had two renovations, one in 1993 and another in 1998. The centre had a face lift in March of 2017. The Preston location serves 35 families with children ages 18 months to five years. There are five full time staff caring and educating these children with a full time onsite Director and cook.
The Preston centre being located in a house really has a home away from home feeling where a family atmosphere is fostered. Inside and outside you will see a program inspired by the Reggio philosophy with the staff and children fully engaged, exploring their environment, developing skills and learning from each other.
